Peace Briefing Workshop

This workshop is a one-day briefing for local church outreach leaders to interact on how to more effectively mobilize, equip and send ordinary church members into their own communities and to the ends of the earth to do what Jesus did.

There is a rising tide on a global scale that will change the future of missions.  It is the local church mobilizing their ordinary members to love and reach out like Jesus.  Rick Warren has stepped into this movement and called the local church to unite and do what Jesus did; Promote reconciliation, Equip servant leaders, Assist the poor, Care for the sick and Educate the next generation.  He calls it the Global P.E.A.C.E. Plan.

Presenter: Rob Wegner, Pastor of Life Mission
As teaching pastor at Granger, he spends a hefty portion of his time in missions work—both here in our own backyard and around the world—planting churches, developing partnerships, equipping leaders, assisting the poor, caring for the sick and educating the next generation. He has taught Purpose-Driven Church to church leaders throughout the world and has been a main session speaker at Saddleback’s Purpose-Driven Church Conference. Presenter: Mike Constantz 
Pastor of P.E.A.C.E. at Saddleback Church since December of 2003. Prior to joining Saddleback Church, Mike served in the Philippines as a medical missionary in 1979-1980 and then as the Sri Lanka Country Director for Campus Crusade for Christ from 1981-1986. From 1987-2003 Mike served internationally with Campus Crusade as the Global Community Director with work in 187 countries as well as directed the short-term sending to unreached peoples at the "JESUS" Film Project. Mike is married to Cathy and their daughter Tali is in high school.

This workshop will be held on the campus of Granger Community Church. Check-in begins at
8:30 a.m. The sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch and breaks will be provided.
