Information Technology Forum
Next sessions: 2008 Event Schedule
Coming in 2009
If you're a volunteer or ministry leader in the IT field you won't want to miss it. This is a peer-learning event where the participants are both teachers and learners.
Discuss topics such as: budgeting, backups, best practices, church management systems, network security, volunteers and more. You’ll meet other IT innovators to share knowledge, lessons learned and figure out what’s up and coming. Note: To best learn about our Web strategies you should check out the Communications and Web workshops.
Jason Powell
IT Director
Jason Powell is the IT Director at Granger Community Church where he, two staff and a small team of volunteers manage a network of over 200 computers and 20 servers. With degrees not in IT, but rather Physics and Education, Jason’s approach to IT is a bit outside the norm. He is perhaps best known for his efforts to help resource and network church IT staff and volunteers across the country through his Church IT blog (jpowell.blogs.com), bi-monthly live interactive Church IT Podcast and the grassroots Church IT RoundTable organization. For fun he likes blowing stuff up on XBOX and racing his car, neither of which he does often enough.
This forum will be held on the campus of Granger Community Church. Registration begins at
8:15 a.m. The sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch and breaks will be provided.
